Module Creation

As modules are the base of Iris Generator code generation, extending it means creating new modules.

Iris Common Classes are documented in a .chm file bundled within the releases. This help file describes all functionnalites and most of all the description of the Database Object Model and of the Object Oriented Object Model. Those two notions are the most important in Iris Generator, because the allow communications between the various layers of a project.

The API you will learn is as close as possible to the notions developers are used to (as far as .Net is concerned). You manipulate objects which types are Types, Packages(for a namespace), Methods, Properties or Databases, Requests, Tables. The structure of those classes are quite simple and natural. A Package contains Types (Classes) as well as a Database contains Tables and so on.

Take a breath and deeply dive into the following samples to learn how extension works.
